Further Processing operations means a process (such as curing, heat treatment, drying, canning, fermenting or rendering) applied to meat or meat products to form essentially a new product with different characteristics and flavour.
Under the Export Control Rules 2021 all Further Processors must hold AUS-MEAT Accreditation and will require annual renewal to maintain Export Meat Licence requirements. All Further Processors requiring an Export Meat Licence must be AUS-MEAT Accredited.
